Randi House

I made this pendant by taking a two-part polymer mould of a vintage style button. The clay was pressed into the mould and allowed to set till it was firm but not dry. I then attached a coil of clay with slip to make the bail and set a CZ above it. Once dry, it was fired and soaked in liver of sulphur until black. I brushed the top lightly to bring out highlights. To complete the classic look, I threaded it onto a string of pearls and garnet and finished it off with a ribbon.
