"Seal Pendant"  This is one side of a pendant I made for a friend. The pattern is the face of an
endangered Hawaiian monk seal pup named Mojo, one of her "children" (you have to know what to look for to
see it!). It was made from a photopolymer plate mold from a photograph. The seal is colored with liver of
sulphur; the surrounding sand and sea are 24k gold Keum-boo. Although you can't see it in the pictures, the pendant is a sort of box, with the sides being wavy extruded silver clay.

Side 2   This is the other side of the pendant. She used to do research on Aplysia (sea slugs) (well, someone has to do it). This was also made from a photopolymer plate, liver of sulphur, and Keum-boo. The necklace is strung with freshwater pearls and seed beads.

"Diatoms for Peace"  This necklace has nine beads that I patterned from diatoms and radiolarians, microscopic
cells enclosed in silicon cages. They have fantastic patterns under the microscope, and I'm always looking
for a message, or at least a happy face! One of these became a peace symbol. Strung with freshwater pearls
and sterling silver spacers.
