BURNISHING your metal clay
If you are after a high shine for your final piece and do not have an agate burnisher to hand try a stainless steel metal spoon instead!
The pressure from the ‘rub’ of the spoon increases the the compression of the particles in the metal and brings out a shinier finish.
Cheap and cheerful (although you can’t beat an agate burnisher!)
We also sell stainless steel burnishers, which are a good alternative to expensive agate burnishers, and more accurate than a spoon for smaller pieces. Click here to see
