Forming Interesting Shapes
There’s no need to stick to flat work....!
A great accessory (one many do not think about) to have close by (and I guarantee you have one at home in the cupboard somewhere) is a lightbulb...(back of a spoon is also do-able)

These are great for forming a dome style shape in your clay for cutesy pendants and earrings. Or, by joining 2 circles/ovals (with slip), you can make hollow lightweight lentil beads

Simply lay your clay atop the rounded end of the lightbulb and leave to dry et voila! A lovely curved bead is formed.
