Making small curved pieces

Thinking back to the using a light bulb to create a curved effect...

I had a smaller piece where this did not work so well, so i looked for something else, smaller, and more compact to use...

A marble! Perfect, but how to steady it???

Fill a bowl with sand, rice, or lentil beans place the marble so it sits half way covered in the bowl. This will steady the marble and stop it from rolling around whilst the clay is left to dry to it’s gorgeous curved finish!
